Splitwatch is a dedicated timing application crafted for serious track and swimming coaches, athletes, and enthusiasts seeking precise interval timing on their iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. While primarily tailored for athletic training and competitions, its functionality extends effectively to any scenario requiring detailed interval recording.

Key features include automatic calculation of split breakdowns during timing, allowing users to effortlessly monitor progress at various interval points such as 200m, 400m, or 800m. It provides comprehensive closing splits—such as the last 200 or 400 meters—and detailed split summaries including minimum, maximum, and average lap times.

The application introduces a new Split Detail Summary Highlighting feature, enabling quick identification of race segments with the fastest or slowest performance. Users can record intervals in metric or imperial units—25, 50, 100, 200, or 400 meters/yard—and utilize Lap mode for timing events independent of specific distances.

Multiwatch mode facilitates simultaneous timing of multiple competitors, with options to start watches collectively or independently. Past timing events can be accessed via the History view, displaying comprehensive information such as athlete names, event details, race times, lap and split breakdowns, as well as summary metrics.

Events can be sorted by various parameters including date, distance, event name, or athlete. All individual splits are fully editable—adding, modifying, or deleting entries—as well as adjusting units and split modes to correct any timing anomalies.

Splitwatch offers the capability to generate detailed reports through email or AirPrint—either for single races or multiple events—containing full split breakdowns and event information. Users can also toggle between displaying total running time and current lap time easily by tapping the main timer display.

The interface provides tactile feedback with flashing indicators each time start, lap, or stop buttons are pressed and optionally supports auditory cues via click sounds. To prevent accidental double triggers, the app can temporarily disable the lap button after activation.

Additional modes include Furlong mode for horse racing distances displayed in fractions of a mile. Support credentials are accessible onboard for user assistance and inquiries.
